Parents, we hope you will join us for Family Night on Friday the 27th! Come at 7pm to see what your child(ren) learned during the week.

Engaging Bible Stories

Children will dive into captivating Bible stories that bring the Scriptures to life. Our storytellers and interactive lessons will help them understand and apply timeless truths.

Fun Activities

From arts and crafts to games and music, our VBS is packed with exciting activities that reinforce the day's lesson. Kids will have a blast while learning important biblical principles.

Music & Worship

Sing, dance, and worship with us! Our VBS includes lively music sessions where kids express their faith through song and movement. This joyful celebration brings everyone together.

And Of Course, Snacks

We know that learning and playing can work up an appetite! We'll provide delicious snacks each day to keep everyone energized and ready for the next adventure.

Magnified! VBS will encourage kids to look closely at the details of God’s amazing world and magnify, or proclaim, the greatness of God. God made us, cares about us, loves us, forgives us, and is faithful to keep all His promises to us. We can praise God together! We were made to magnify God!

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Who can attend VBS?

    Our VBS is open to children entering grades K-6th this fall. We welcome kids from our church community and beyond.

  • Is there a cost to attend?

    VBS is free of charge--no cost to attend!


    Every year, we hold an offering competition with kids and staff. We encourage everyone to bring change (coins) throughout the week to benefit a special cause. This year, our offering will benefit the Bond County Crisis Nursery.

  • What should my child bring?

    All necessary materials will be provided.

  • How can I help out?

    You can help us spread the word about VBS. Encourage your kids to invite their friends!

  • Is your church accessible?

    The main floor of our building is accessible from the rear entrance. Some of our VBS activities happen downstairs. If your child is unable to do stairs, please let us know so we can consider accommodations.

  • What denomination is the church affiliated with?

    Smith Grove is part of the Southern Baptist Convention. Our beliefs and denominational affiliations are all available in depth on our beliefs page.


    Of course, your kids don’t have to be Baptist. We welcome kids to VBS from any church (or from no church background)!
